Junior Buyer

Location: Sydney

As a Junior Buyer, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operations, growth and strategy of the Health and Beauty category. Your role will be responsible for buying a range that meets the needs of our customers and is leading within the Travel Retail market.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing existing supplier relationships resulting in sustainable and profitable growth
  • Grow and develop new areas of business identified as strategic growth opportunities.
  • Meet KPI’s relating to Sales and Profit, inclusive of margin and supplier income.
  • Identify market trends by researching current trends and competitor activity.
  • Analysis of historical statistical data: reviewing sales, profit, stock-turn, markdowns, subclass and supplier performance.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with stores through regular visits and contact.
  • Maintain and develop strong internal stakeholder relationships

What we are looking for:

  • A results driven mindset with a focus on meeting targets.
  • The ability, energy and passion to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer’s Assistant/Admin
  • Previous retail buying experience within a fast-paced environment highly regarded.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
