About the Role

As a retail assistant at WHSmith you will demonstrate superstardom and serve customers in a timely, efficient and courteous manner, whilst managing cash and regular transactions using our POS system. You will also play a part in general merchandising of the store and stock rotation. 

Please note, there are both morning (4am-2pm) and evening (2pm-10pm) permanent shifts available, please confirm which position you are interested in when completing your application. 

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated individuals, particularly with the following attributes:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Prior experience in a fast paced retail environment
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow
• Flexible availability for either morning or evening shifts between 4am and 10pm (Monday through to Sunday)
