About the Role

As a Cafe All Rounder at WHSmith, you are passionate about all things coffee! You will specialise in preparing coffees and other beverages, alongside exceptional customer service. You must be able to serve all customers in a timely/efficient manner, and follow all food safety guidelines. You will also be responsible for: 

  • Managing stock levels.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Handling cash and card transactions.

In this position you will be required to work on a full time basis, shifts will generally commence at 6:15am, 5 days a week, at our Campbelltown Hospital Long Shot site Working days will be agreed upon in consultation.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for coffee and is friendly & approachable. You will display the following qualities: 

  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • 2 years of experience in a café or hospitality environment as a barista preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and a team player.
  • Understanding of operating and adjusting a coffee machine/grinder as required. 
  • Knowledge around food handling and safety.
  • Great customer service skills and passion for coffee!
  • Full-time availability 5 days a week for a 6:15 am start.
