About the Role

As a Cafe All Rounder at WHSmith, you are passionate about all things coffee! You will specialise in preparing coffees and other beverages, alongside exceptional customer service. You must be able to serve all customers in a timely/efficient manner and follow all food safety guidelines. You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including tables, counters, and kitchen areas.
  • Handling cash register duties, process payments accurately, and handle customer inquiries or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Support café operations by restocking supplies.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Handling cash and card transactions.

 

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

  • Ideally 1 year of cafe/hospitality experience
  • Must have flexible availability
  • Barista skills and/or food prep knowledge advantageous (but not a must)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
