Non-Executive Board Director

 

Wintringham are looking for values-driven professionals who want to contribute to strong, contemporary governance to join their Board of Directors. We are seeking individuals with knowledge/experience in financial and commercial oversight.

 

Who we are

Founded in 1989, Wintringham is a not-for-profit organisation, committed to providing an extensive range of aged care, social housing and related support services to older people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.

 

The role

The Board ensures that the company remains focused on its core Mission, Vision and Values. Directors work together in their governance role to protect and enhance the ongoing viability of Wintringham, ensuring quality services for current and future clients.

 

The Board’s role includes the following essential functions:

    • Strategic Direction: participate in and approval of strategy and performance objectives
    • Resources: make available resources to achieve the Strategic Plan - the money, personnel and materials
    • Performance: monitor organisational performance against its strategies and targets
    • Risk and Compliance: ensure that there are adequate systems for risk management, control and legal compliance
    • Accountability to members: report progress to the members as their appointed representatives and oversee the collective interests of all stakeholders

Applicants who have lived in a country other than Australia for a period longer than 12 months in the last 10 years may be required to undergo an International Police Check.

 

Successful candidates will be required to comply with the Wintringham Health and Immunisation policy including having one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before commencing employment, and must provide evidence.
