  • Competitive base pay rates: $38.57 - $43.46 (dependent on experience and qualifications) + 25% casual loading + superannuation
  • Casual Basis – Morning, Afternoon and Night Shifts available

Our Williamstown Hostel located close to Melbourne’s CBD offers affordable, high-quality accommodation to people aged 50 years and over. We provide a safe, flexible and caring family-style environment, which allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be.

 

Your new role:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our team at our Williamstown Residential Aged Care on a Casual Basis.  Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.  

 

Your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Observing and reporting changes in resident’s behaviour or physical condition
  • Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
  • Liaising with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
  • Assisting the RN1 with clinical requirements of residents
  • Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required
  • Providing emotional support to residents.

 

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Ability to work both in team and autonomously
  • Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
  • Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to enhance or maintain our residents’ independence and lifestyle
  • A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
