We're seeking an experienced public relations professional to join the Wotif Group PR team. This person will have prior PR experience, having led or significantly contributed to media relations planning and implementation for leading consumer brand/s, ideally in the travel sector.
This person will lead and implement PR for lastminute.com.au in Australia and New Zealand, and support other PR and marcoms activities across Wotif Group's portfolio of brands. The role reports to the Wotif Group's Head of PR.
Wot are your responsibilities?
- Together with the Head of PR, develop a strategic plan for all PR activities in the ANZ markets;
- Identify, develop and manage proactive PR opportunities within the ANZ markets;
- Media liaison: manage reactive and proactive media responses, and distribute media materials;
- Understand the media landscape in Australia and proactively identify, develop and manage PR opportunity, and generate positive media coverage for lastminute.com.au;
- Monitor and report on lastminute.com.au's PR achievements, aligned to public relations strategy and KPIs, marketing campaign objectives and organisational priorities.
Wot experience will you have?
- Extensive writing experience in a public relations context, having prepared media materials for news, consumer and lifestyle media;
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in consumer PR – online or travel experience preferred;
- Sound knowledge of the media at a national level;
- Strategic thinker with a creative flair and an ability to develop fresh ideas;
- Proven ability to generate high-quality placements.
