Regional Product Manager

Are you looking for the next challenge in your career?  We are looking for an experienced Regional Product Manager, to establish and implement strategies to identify and source new suppliers and ensuring ongoing development and relationship management of existing suppliers.

You will be responsible for the management of the Auckland Product team and driving the performance of the Wotif Group in New Zealand.

This position reports to the Group Product Director (Accommodation)  - Australia & New Zealand. 

 

Wot are the responsibilities?

In this role you will have a number of responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Manage NZ team performance through effective leadership, goal setting and continuous improvement.
  • Establishment and Implementation of strategic Country plans to ensure deliver of goals and objectives
  • Analyse and manage the performance of the Country
  • Set clear direction for staff and suppliers to achieve maximum participation and sales from promotions.
  • Conduct presentations and sales calls with suppliers and key account partners
  • Attend relevant tradeshows, functions and workshops to network and procure hotel products and foster relationships with hotel suppliers;
  • Identify in-market strategic alliance partners/business opportunities and channel these through to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Identify opportunities to assist the Marketing Team/Online marketing team in promoting your region;
  • Ensure ethical and legal responsibilities are known and embraced by the team, including pricing legislation.

 

Wot experience will you have?

  • Strong managerial experience
  • Previous tourism/hotel experience
  • Experience conducting presentations in front of an audience.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Yield Management experience/knowledge
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Medium to high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint; and
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
