  • Organising recruitment events and following up on enquiries to build on the existing volunteer numbers; and
  • Identifying ways that any programs or services could be improved or made more efficient, including volunteer retention strategies, organisational systems and processes.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrated experience managing volunteer-led activities, preferably within the community services sector or similar.

Working closely with a range of both internal and external stakeholders, you will be a strong negotiator and confident communicator, able to build effective relationships with volunteers, clients and paid staff.

It's crucial that you are future-focused and committed to innovation, able to identify new efficiencies and areas for development as the organisation continues to improve its processes and services.

Flexible and highly organised, you will have strong time-management skills and be well-versed at planning around multiple, sometimes competing, priorities. You will also be comfortable using a range of computer software, with any experience using Client Management Systems, such as Salesforce or Carelink, highly regarded.

Finally, you'll be passionate about supporting marginalised or vulnerable individuals and delivering services that will make a real difference to the local Canberra community. Enthusiastic and genuinely friendly, you'll lead by example and understand the importance of social participation and community connectedness, with a real interest in the work that Northside delivers.

Please note: You will need a current 'C' Class Driver's License and hold, or be willing to obtain, a First Aid Certificate, Working with Vulnerable People Card and complete a Police Check.
