About the Opportunity
David Evans Group has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative (Machinery) to join their friendly team in Biloela.
Reporting to the Dealership Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling machinery and equipment to clients, meeting their needs while maximising the profitability of the dealership.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Solving customer product and service needs in a timely manner;
- Monitoring market trends and identifying potential customer markets;
- Coordinating, conducting and attending customer information session and tradeshows;
- Developing sales growth strategies and assisting with sales forecasting;
- Identifying and communicating competitor activities; and
- Promoting all aspects of dealership including parts, services and sales.
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong sales prowess and previous sales experience supported the ability to meet KPIs and targets. Candidates with experience within the agricultural or construction industry and/or with farm machinery experience will be highly regarded, however this is not essential and full product training will be provided.
You'll have a can-do attitude, technical aptitude and most importantly, a willingness to learn about the products and to champion them to your clients. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to easily build rapport with your clients, allowing you to understand their needs and how to best meet them. You'll also ensure your clients receive excellent after-sales service and follow-up, ensuring repeat business for David Evans Group and encouraging positive word of mouth.
Importantly, you will be highly organised with excellent time management skills, computer literacy and will be willing to go that extra mile to ensure that the client is happy.
This role includes regular travel, and some nights away will be necessary. A reliable vehicle and a current driver's licence therefore a requirement of the role.
