About the Opportunity

David Evans Group has an exciting opportunity for a Spare Parts Manager to join their friendly team in Warwick, QLD. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring occasional participation in a Saturday morning roster.

Reporting to the Dealership Manager, and supported by the Head Office team, you will be responsible for planning, leading and controlling all elements of the Spare Parts Department operation, performance and profit to achieve Dealership goals.

More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Managing, developing and supporting team members to meet company expectations;
  • Recruiting, training and motivating staff to maximise their performance, satisfaction and retention;
  • Implementing and managing relevant sections of the Marketing Plan and Group Unit initiatives;
  • Monitoring key indicators of performance in the Spare Parts Department; and
  • Actively managing cash, capital assets and inventory.

To be successful in this role, you will have managerial experience in a similar position, ideally with working knowledge of agricultural, automotive or construction spare parts. You'll consider yourself technologically savvy and have no problem getting up to speed with David Evans Group's wide range of agricultural, lawn care and construction machinery.

In order to get the best out of the staff you manage, you'll need to be an approachable 'team-player' with a commitment to developing strong working relationships. You'll also be a natural leader, and have no problem managing and motivating staff to meet fulfill expectations and potential while adhering to David Evans Group's policies and procedures.

Your 'can-do' attitude and proactive nature will ensure you're constantly on the lookout for areas for improvement within your department and the Dealership, while your excellent communication skills will see you easily recommend and implement relevant initiatives to address these areas and improve performance.

Importantly, you will be highly organised with excellent time management skills, computer literacy and will be willing to go that extra mile to ensure everyone is doing their job.

This role includes travel, and some nights away will be necessary. A current driver's licence therefore a requirement of the role.
