About the Role 

Based in Liverpool and reporting to the Assistant Chief Engineer, the Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for installation, maintenance and fault finding across the bakery ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.

Electrical experience with mechanical aptitude/mechanical trade will be highly regarded.

Shift Times

Week 1  - Tues - Sun 10pm - 6am

Week 2 - Tues - Fri 10pm - 6am

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct preventative & reactive maintenance tasks to include general maintenance, inspections, component replacement of mixers, proofers, conveyor belts and packaging equipment etc to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensuring the facility and equipment is maintained in a safe and operational state of readiness at all times in order to fulfill daily production requirements and ensure product safety, quality and legality is not compromised
  • Ensure comprehensive and complete engineering records are maintained including preventative maintenance schedules, machine history, purchase orders and equipment manuals

About You

  • Proven experience in maintenance and high-speed FMCG or packaging/manufacturing environment, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Minimal educational attainment in Electrical Trade; Trade Certificate Fitting and Machining or other relevant Mechanical Qualifications highly desirable, Australian Trade certificate and NSW Electrical License
  • Competent using the Allen-Bradley range of products including: RS Logix software, Variable frequency drives and Panel View operator interfaces;
  • Overhauling motors and have a working knowledge of AC and DC Variable Speed Drives and Kinetic servo drives
  • Competency in Microsoft office and electronic preventive maintenance programs;
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
