About the Opportunity

DM Plastics & Steel now have an exciting opportunity for a National Sales Manager to lead the DM Plastics & Steel team in Adelaide.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your main priority will be to drive sales growth and oversee strategic planning for yourself and your team. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining great relationships with clients and distributors, ensuring DM Plastics & Steel's strong brand positioning. 

Core duties:

  • Lead and mentor the sales team;
  • Implement and manage the sales and marketing systems, processes, procedures and controls;
  • Ensure accurate and timely sales and marketing reporting;
  • Manage client relationships;
  • Plan and manage the company's strategic revenue growth aspirations; and
  • Manage key account relationships including mining, industrial and civil accounts.

This role provides the opportunity for occasional travel around Australia to meet with key stakeholders and new leads, as well as travel to service customers along the East Coast.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced sales professional with a strong background in an industry related to piping. A tertiary qualification in business or a related field will also be advantageous, and help you hit the ground running in your new role. 

The ideal candidate will be tenacious and determined in their sales approach. This will carry over into your leadership style and growth of accounts for the business.

You will have experience managing KPIs, managing large accounts and building new and established accounts in the industry and beyond. 

You will also have experience using the Microsoft suite. Additionally, an understanding of and previous experience with enterprise resource planning packages such as Pronto would be beneficial. 

A passion for the industry is a must as is analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data.
