About the Opportunity

Living Strength Occupational Therapy now has an exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapist Assistants to join their team across Sydney and the NSW Central Coast teams. This is a flexible role, with both full-time and part-time options negotiable.

Reporting to the Occupational Therapy Team Leader, your main responsibility will be to assist patients of all ages to improve and maintain skills for day-to-day activities and wellbeing. Work in partnership with clients to identify important and valued activities that are difficult to do because of their authority. 

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Provide high-level clinical services including client assessment, treatment and therapy;
  • Run various educational sessions and therapy programs;
  • Produce high-quality comprehensive Occupational Therapy reports including behaviour support plans;
  • Develop and implement a variety of therapy programs and services; and
  • Liaise with other Allied Health professionals.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will be required to have a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and have an Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration. You will also be required to have personal indemnity insurance and have or be eligible to complete a NDIS worker’s check.

Candidates of all experience levels are welcome to apply, from recent graduates to well-established clinical professionals. Applicants with experience and qualifications in Mental Health Therapy will be HIGHLY REGARDED.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a proactive and passionate individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will also need to be an avid problem solver who has behavioural support skillset and who can offer a high level of service. 

You will be competent at writing comprehensive reports based on your advanced clinical understanding, application of various clinical assessments and implementation of appropriate interventions to address prioritised needs. 

Please note: because this role requires you to travel, you will need to have a driver’s licence and a vehicle.
