About Us

The Central Australian Aboriginal Alcohol Programme Unit (CAAAPU) operates a 30-bed residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation facility in Alice Springs. Dedicated to offering culturally sensitive and comprehensive support to Aboriginal people, CAAAPU provides a pathway to recovery and independence through tailored rehabilitation programmes.

About the Opportunity

CAAAPU invites applications for full-time Caseworkers to join our vibrant team in Alice Springs. These roles are distinguished by their focus: one caseworker will support male clients and another will support female clients. This structure ensures culturally sensitive care, with male caseworkers assisting male clients and female caseworkers assisting female clients. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing case management support and monitoring client progress.
  • Coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assessing client needs and advocating for appropriate services.
  • Conducting initial assessments and maintaining meticulous records.

About You

Ideal candidates will possess at least 2 years of experience in case management or a related field, along with, or the ability to obtain, a First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check and a Police Clearance. Holding a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or a Certificate III in Community Services will be considered an advantage. This role requires comprehensive support to our Aboriginal clients within our 30-bed residential unit.
