Wintringham’s dynamic and highly skilled Clinical Care Team provides support to all Wintringham Programs including  residential, community and Housingensuring that residents and clients receive high quality services that meet their health care needs. Our Clinical Care Team are an integral part of our operations systems and play a vital role in the assessment delivery and review of care to clients with complex needs.

 

Your new role

Due to planned leave, a Full Time Assistant Clinical Services Manager – ADON opportunity exists to enhance our Clinical Care team. Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager – DON, you will help oversee Clinical Care operations to ensure that the operations are consistent with Wintringham’s philosophy of options, rights, dignity. This Fixed Term position runs from May 2024 till the ned of Janusary 2025.

 

Your responsibilities and duties will also include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Support the Clinical Services Manager – DON with afterhours Clinical Care
  • Clinical supervision of RN1s and EENs including delegation as agreed with the Clinical Services Manager – DON
  • Ensuring that residents and clients receive appropriate services of the highest quality to meet their health care needs
  • Ensuring consistency in practice and approach to clinical care is maintained throughout the service
  • Supporting clinical governance to residential and community programs
  • Support and assess resident and client competency in areas of complex care needs and medication management

What we’ll require from you:

The successful applicant must be a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Clinical experience,  current AHRPA Registration and a drivers licence.  A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment as well as experience in gerontology/community/palliative/mental health/alcohol and drugs or related specialty will be highly regarded.

These requirements will be further supported by you having:

  • At least 3 years experience in a Clinical Nurse role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to improve practices in order to provide the safest possible service to our clients

Successful candidates will be required to comply with the Wintringham Health and Immunisation policy including having three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine as well as a 2024 Influenza Immunisation vaccination before commencing employment and must provide evidence.
