Permanent Part Time and Casual Kitchen Stewards

We have an exciting opportunity to join our fun Kitchen Brigade in a permanent part time or casual capacity to work across multiple kitchens within Adelaide Oval, Oval Hotel and external venues. 

If you choose to kick goals with this crew, you can expect to provide back of house support to the Kitchen Brigade by performing integral duties.

Our PPT Stewards will be rostered over a 7 day a week roster with a guaranteed of a minimum of 15 hours per week with above award rates. Our Casual Stewards do not have a minimum guaranteed number of hours per week and are rostered depending on business requirements including Major Event Days. 

What you will be doing

  • Cleaning dishes using both manual and commercial dishwashing equipment.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchens and kitchen equipment.
  • Transferring/allocating and organising other equipment around the Stadium.
  • Responsible for the safe removal of rubbish and recycling of both wet and dry kitchen waste to designated areas.
  • Applying commercial chemicals correctly.

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Previous experience in a similar role (eg. Kitchen Hand or Dish Washer).
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain high workloads and meet deadlines within specified time frames.
  • Fun can-do attitude coupled with excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster, including nights.
  • Basic Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualifications (desirable).
