We have a rare opportunity for an experienced ICT Manager who you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire ICT function, and partner with a variety of stakeholders to achieve our strategic objectives.

ICT Manager

We’re looking for a proactive leader who can has a strong combination of technical expertise, project delivery skills and ability to lead and take a dedicated ICT team to the next level. This is a hands-on role where you’ll draw on your experience in a similar ICT delivery and leadership roles and have a talent for collaborating with internal stakeholders, managing multiple deliverables and have a passion for all things innovative. You'll love a fast-paced environment, be operationally focused and have the resilience and tenacity to follow through - even on the busiest of major event days.

What you'll be working on

  • Oversee the design, optimization and maintenance of ICT systems, policies and network management framework.
  • Develop, enhance and integrate business software systems for ultimate capability.
  • Lead and develop a dedicated ICT team, ensuring the team is resourced to meet business demands.
  • Manage and prioritise ICT projects, ensuring deliverables are on time, within scope and budget.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place and implement best practices for data privacy and compliance
  • Manage service level agreements, provide recommendations and monitor performance 
  • Oversee operational budgets to support cost centre ownership of controllable revenue and expense.
  • Ensure high quality ICT support services to Adelaide Oval are delivered, oversee help desk operations and establish processes for troubleshooting.
  • Be the technical escalation point for our Microsoft Domain and virtualisation technologies.

What will it take to be successful?

  • Proven hands-on experience in an IT leadership role, with strong experience and certifications in IT infrastructure, systems management, and project execution. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, security protocols, cloud technologies, and software development lifecycles.
  • Deep understanding of data protection, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements. 
  • Experience leading a dedicated team of IT professionals to be their best. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with an ability to balance technical and business needs. 
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business-friendly language and working effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management, and vendor management in ICT context. 
  • Experience working a fast-paced environment and ability to pivot with changing priorities. 
  • Fresh eyes and the ability to look for ways to improve and innovate.

Please note that some out of hours work will be a requirement of this role, in line with the business operations of Adelaide Oval. This includes weekend work and working on Major Event Days at Adelaide Oval or the surrounding associated venues.
