About the role
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a full time Sewerage Technician to carry out a variety of task as required within Council's Water & Waste section in order to satisfy the requirements of the relevant Australian plumbing codes and other required standards.
Key Requirements
- Sound knowledge and experience in the laying of sewer mains and maintenance of sewer pump stations
- Possess a current minimum LR NSW Drivers' licence
- WHS General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Sound knowledge in the metric system of measurement
- Experience in the utilisation of small plant used in the construction industry
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a position requiring considerable amounts of labouring work
- Take Annual Leave in accordance with the applicable leave roster
- Willingness to undergo immunisation for Hepatitis A and B and have follow up tests to confirm immunity.
- Ability to work overtime and on call (including weekends) as required

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,266.00 to $1,330.11 per week + Adverse working conditions allowance of $18.28 per week + on call allowance (as required) + Super
Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every third week
