About the role

Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a full time Customer Service and Administration Officer.  This is an office-based customer facing position, and is part of the administration team providing customer service and administration support in relation to the functions of the Environmental Planning and Building Services Department of Council.

This position provides quality customer service (phone and reception) to the public and undertakes a range of complex administration tasks utilising a range of internet and intranet based data administration and records management systems and Microsoft computer packages.

Key Requirements

Essential 

  • Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent administrative skills – e.g. data entry, record keeping, touch typing, preparation of correspondence
  • Proficiency in the operation of various computer packages including a well developed understanding of Microsoft office programs, Adobe and internet and intranet based data administration applications and records management systems
  • Experience in updating/maintaining databases and registers
  • Good oral and written communication skills

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

Salary: $1,155.40 to $1,213.83 per week + superannuation

Position Status: Permanent Full-time 

Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
