We have multiple opportunities for reliable and motivated individuals to undertake vocational education qualifications in in Water Operations, all the while gaining valuable on the job experience; assisting with the operation, maintenance and construction of water and sewerage infrastructure to recognised health, environmental and BVSC standards.
As a Water & Sewer Team Member - Trainee, you will apply the theoretical learnings of your vocational studies, to workplace activities as well as assist in the construction of new water supply and sewerage infrastructure, the general maintenance and cleaning of minor and major plant and assist in the monitoring and reporting associated with water supply.
We are seeking driven individuals who have completed Year 10 level education or higher, hold a current NSW Class C Drivers Licence and a General Construction Induction - White Card.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Ability to participate in the laying / repairing of water and sewer mains and associated construction activities.
- Ability to develop fault-finding skill techniques as appropriate to water supply and sewerage systems.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Work in a manner consistent with BVSC organisational values and associated behaviours.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve complex problems
This is a fixed term (2 year) full-time position working 38 hours per week. Remuneration ranges from $415.19 to $713.80 per week depending on the age of the applicant, plus 9.5% employer superannuation contribution and time allocated for study.
