Are you experienced in project management and passionate delivering community projects to our region?

Central Highlands Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator Community Projects to join the team!
We are looking for an experienced project coordinator who is a highly skilled collaborator, holds exceptional organisation and time management skills and has the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders. 
The Coordinator Community Projects will work with asset owners and stakeholders to deliver the annual and multi-year Communities Department capital programs in accordance with council’s strategic asset management plans.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers licence.
  • Suitable qualifications in Project management or relevant field.
  • Experience in the application of and management of contracts as applied to the delivery of capital projects.
  • Experience in, or a sound understanding of, local government, and program planning.
  • Experience in liaising with and providing advice to various internal and external
    stakeholders, members of the public, council and others in relation to a significant strategic or capital project.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain the support and cooperation of others to achieve effective project delivery.
  • High level oral and written communication skills including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and the capacity to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including the capacity to perform effectively in diverse and complex political environments and to manage change.
  • Well-developed knowledge of the principles of equal opportunity, diversity and work health and safety and risk management.
  • Ability to undertake independent strategic thinking, analyse complex situations, develop creative solutions and achieve outcomes that advance the organisation.
