A newly created 2-year fixed term contract opportunity exists for an experienced Learning Specialist to join The City of Newcastle (CN). If you are ready to put your innovative thinking and organisational skills to practise in this creative, strategic and dynamic role- we want to hear from you!

As a dedicated Learning Specialist to IT Programs and Projects this role will see you focus on a large technology transformation program, migrating key operational processes into our Enterprise Resourcing Processing (ERP) solution- Technology 1 and supporting our teams to adapt to using new technology to carry out their work.  

Your role as the Learning Specialist, will see you manage responsibilities centred around enhancing the capability of the business by identifying learning and development opportunities. You will design and implement programs, training events, workshops, learning hubs, and storytelling platforms to assist with professional development and learning. You will use data, trends, and evidence-based research to provide advice to leaders on how to close knowledge gaps and enhance their area of the business.

The successful candidate will coach and mentor others by encouraging change, development, and reflection. Your ability to create space for knowledge sharing, ideation, and personal improvement while mitigating the organisations risk by scheduling governance, compliance, and legislative learning will see your continued success in this role.
