Ecologist

City of Newcastle is looking for an experienced Ecologist to join their newly created Environment and Sustainability Service Unit to provide specialist ecological advice for CN's environmental assets capital renewal program, on-ground projects, Natural Connection community engagement programs, and strategic and land use planning matters.

As the Ecologist you will provide specialist ecological advice, research, plans and designs to guide the implementation and monitoring of on-ground environmental rehabilitation and restoration projects.

You will be key in providing your specialist advice to enhance and further develop CN's environmental policies, strategies, plans, and programs including the Urban Forest Action Plan, Blue Green Grid Action Plan, Water Sensitive Cities Action Plan and vegetation management plans.
