The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team at Helping Hand on a fixed Term Part Time basis. Reporting to the Allied Health Senior, this position provides clinical Occupational Therapy interventions in client’s homes and residential care settings. The position is based within our Metro division and includes travel within the community and across Helping Hand’s metropolitan sites.
You
To be considered for this position, it is essential to hold a current practicing Certificate as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and can demonstrate experience in the following:
Skills & Experience
/ Demonstrated experience providing occupational therapy services to adult clients in rehabilitative environments.
/ Experience in assessing and evaluating functional needs of clients
/ Demonstrated understanding of clinical education principles
/ Demonstrated professional and organisational skills to efficiently meet the needs of clients, staff and other stakeholders
/ Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and the ability to be cross culturally sensitive.
/ Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills
/ Demonstrated commitment to continual professional and personal development
/ Ability to initiate and maintain effective working relationships at any level within a large-scale organisation.
/ Establish and monitor processes and standards to ensure excellent clinical customer service to clients.
/ Working knowledge of Aged Care systems will be highly regarded.
