LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN 

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant at KINNECT, your role will be diverse, offering a wide range of responsibilities across workplace rehabilitation and injury prevention services. A key aspect of your role will involve delivering workplace rehabilitation services that help individuals engage in meaningful occupations through a client-centered approach, promoting optimal health and well-being. Your duties will include: 

  • Assessing injured and ill workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work.
  • Visiting workplaces to understand the challenges injured and ill workers may face and educating employers on the health benefits of good work.
  • Case managing complex injuries and coordinating with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work.
  • Providing clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing. 

In addition to workplace rehabilitation services, you will have the opportunity to partner with various organisations to deliver a range of other services, such as: 

  • Conducting ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings.
  • Developing job dictionaries.
  • Performing manual task risk assessments.
  • Leading interactive manual handling training and implementing stretching and warm-up programs.
  • Conducting pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
