We are seeking multiple passionate Personal Care Assistants to join our Care Team at the Landings, North Turramurra. We have casual and part-time vacancies across all shifts. Part time employees will receive base rate of $30 per hour + super. Casuals employees will receive a rate of $35.62 per hour + super ( includes casual loading).

 

Permanent opportunities available:

4 days: Wednesday – Saturday (6:30am – 2:30pm)

 

Casual shift available opportunities across 7 days:

AM – 6:30am to 2:30pm

PM – 2:30pm to 10:30pm

PM Short Shift - 5pm to 10:30pm

Night – 10:30pm – 6:30am

About The Workplace

The Role

To provide personal care and/or domestic assistance support services to residents as allocated by the Shift Supervisor and/or Village Care Manager. Your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing personal care as requested by the resident and in line with the resident’s care plan (where documented)
  • Responding to emergency call outs 
  • Understanding and implementing care plans and assist with delivery of range of activities (social, physical, emotional)
  • Provision of manual handling to assist residents with daily tasks

About you

Demonstrating experience in a similar role, you will have proven yourself as a Personal Care Assistant who treats residents in a respectful and courteous manner. Further, you will have:

  • At least completed placement in a similar role in Australia
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent)
  • Valid First aid / CPR certificates (Mandatory)
  • Previous experience working in community or aged care would be highly regarded
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to and from our village (We are located in North Turramurra, Sydney)
