Position Purpose:
This role holds key responsibility for assisting the Management Accountant managing LDK’s home care client accounts and ensuring that the financial function of LDK’s approved provider runs smoothly and efficiently with accurate and up to date financial information available to management and relevant internal stakeholders. You will ensure that transactions are processed accurately and promptly, and you will generate reports and analytics to assist with service delivery.
We are looking for a junior accountant with at least 3 years of experience. Our ideal candidate has accounts receivable, accounts payable experience and as well as aged care / community care industry experience.
Position Accountabilities:
- Accurate processing and financial record keeping of all accounts payable, accounts receivable and general banking transactions
- Maintain individual Home Care Package accounts
- Assist the Home Care Package claim
- Assist the preparation of monthly Home Care Package activity statements
- Assist Commonwealth Home Support Program and other funding sources (e.g., DVA) claim
- Transact inter-entity recharges
- Manage receipting and settle accounts receivable
- Prepare bank reconciliation
- Assist the month end processing
- Provide support in timely Home Care financial reporting, analysis, and other support functions
- Liaising with suppliers and other internal stakeholders as required
- Assisting projects and ad-hoc tasks as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- An accounting or bookkeeping qualification
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Experience of at least 1 year in a similar role (preferably in the Aged or Community Care sector)
- Ability to provide high quality, timely processing of invoices
- Accurate and timely data processing skills
- Proficient in operating systems, a sound understanding of Xero and strong Word and Excel skills
- High level of numeracy skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines and prioritise workloads
- Team player and the ability to contribute to a positive company culture
Essential Conditions:
Federal Police Clearance must be attained, and declaration made of any future charges or convictions that could potentially affect your role within LDK.
