The role & you

In this position, you will lead the Compliance Section of the Environmental Health and Regulatory Services department. As the Coordinator of Compliance, you will be responsible for managing the Compliance function, including supervision of the team, to ensure the achievement of outcomes in line with organisational strategies, objectives, vision and values.

This is a challenging role that will be highly rewarding for someone who is motivated by autonomy and thrives on building a shared sense of purpose through involving people in defining priorities and achieving goals.

Your ability to coordinate land and development compliance matters and manage effective and efficient investigations is integral to this position. 

You will have expertise in providing specialist technical advice to team members and the Manager of Environmental Health & Regulatory Services on Compliance issues to ensure best practice, including coordination of key stakeholders.

Your vast experience in Compliance investigation within Local Government and knowledge of professional and legislative requirements will see you succeed in this role.

Ideally, you will be degree qualified and possess extensive experience in a senior supervisory position with proven ability to lead and manage the performance of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary: 

Package is inclusive of:

  • Base salary $112,000 - $134,000 (commencing salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
  • Superannuation (11%)
  • Leaseback vehicle agreement 

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
