The role & you

We currently have a vacancy available for a motivated Technical Support Officer to join our Information Technology team on a fixed-term contract. This rewarding role will allow you to provide high level support to all MidCoast Council employees across multiple sites.

The role of Technical Support Officer is responsible for being first point of contact for all technical support enquiries. You will be responsible for handling service requests from the point they are logged to resolution; which includes triaging, troubleshooting and escalating as appropriate. This will involve working in our current Helpdesk software to triage incoming requests and communicating with stakeholders via email, face-to-face and via telephone. We are looking for an individual that is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest technologies and enjoy contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on a service desk managing incidents and service requests and have an excellent customer focus. Key to the success of this position is high level communication skills and the desire to collaborate with others.

The package: Commencing salary package circa $70,100 p.a. plus superannuation. 

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Full Time, Fixed-Term (up to 12 months)
