The building has been named ‘Yalawanyi Ganya’ which means “sitting/meeting place” in the Gathang language of the indigenous people across the MidCoast Region.

The role & you

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Human Resources professional to join a dedicated and supportive Human Resources team.

In this role you will partner with leaders to provide advice, support and build capacity in relation people matters. 

Your collaborative approach, coupled with your ability to build trust with stakeholders will be highly valued and respected. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering high quality people outcomes and a passion for delivering a brilliant employee experience.

This position is responsible for leading one direct report, so your ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their best is an important capability required for this opportunity.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • A degree level qualification in human resources, employment relations, organisational development, business or a similar field
  • Human resources experience in a medium to large size organisation
  • Experience partnering with the business on employment-related issues, in line with legislation and operational requirements

The package: Salary package circa $83,000 - $91,000 p.a. plus superannuation (dependent on skills and experience of the successful candidate)

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
