We’re looking for a Training Specialist to join our dynamic and innovative Human Resources Operations Team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our workforce is equipped with the skills and confidence to succeed. You’ll design, develop, and deliver high-quality, interactive learning across a range of programs and audiences both digitally and face-to-face.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver engaging face-to-face and digital training aligned with Council’s Training Plan
- Develop learning materials, eLearning modules, and job aids
- Manage and optimise our Learning Management System (LMS) for a seamless user experience
- Build employee awareness of learning technologies and provide training in their use
- Assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content is current and relevant
- Support onboarding and continuous learning initiatives
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in eLearning design and development using tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or TechSmith Camtasia
- Strong grasp of instructional design and adult learning principles
- Hands-on experience managing Learning Management Systems
- A collaborative, detail-oriented approach, and a passion for innovative learning solutions

Salary: Commencing salary circa $83,460 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Fixed term contract to April 2026.
