ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our in-house Open Space Design & Development team you will help deliver exceptional landscape construction outcomes to implement our Capital Works program including onsite leadership and supervision of contractors and apprentices. Projects include construction of play spaces, park renewal, revegetation projects and other landscape construction tasks as required, with a focus on safe, efficient and effective delivery. You would work out of our Walter Street Hadfield Operations Centre.
A current Medium Rigid Licence and other skills and abilities as described in the key selection criteria are required. Candidates are also expected to have extensive landscape construction experience and skills including site analysis, interpretation of landscape plans and construction site management.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE
- Certificate III in Landscape Construction or relevant discipline and demonstrated experience in landscape construction, with a focus on play space and park asset development in a local government setting
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence and medium rigid truck licence is essential
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in accordance with Council’s values at all times
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
