THE ROLE

We are looking for an Educational Lead to provide educational coaching and mentorship, and to build capacity of educators in accordance with Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) at the Colleen Gale Childcare Centre.

With a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent, and accreditation as recognised by ACECQA, you will be an effective mentor who can inspire exceptional delivery of educational programs as well as be an educator to young children. A working knowledge of the Education and Care National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework is also a must.

You will be able to demonstrate teaching experience of providing high quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years and working with children with additional needs, with the ability to plan, implement and evaluate Early Childhood Curriculum based on National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.

Demonstrated effective time management, administrative, computer skills, good written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting operational requirements on a daily basis by working in ratio and acting as the Responsible Person as the need arises.
  • Leading and guiding the development and implementation of a high-quality educational program, based on the EYLF that promotes each child’s learning across the five learning outcomes.
  • Coaching and mentoring the team of educators to plan, implement, assess and review an educational program based on EYLF and with reference to the NQS, and in the development and delivery of documentation of children’s learning.
  • Coach and mentor the team of educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies.
  • Be responsible for accessing current information about curriculum and contemporary pedagogy and provide this to all educators as appropriate.
  • Support the Team Leader with day-to-day management of service operations, record management, and ensuring educators are performing within the requirements of their roles.
  • Managing the Trainee Program in conjunction with Provider.

This position is offered on a full-time basis working 35 hours per week.

Remuneration for the position is based on Grade 11 of the salary system which equates to a base salary between $75,840 to $85,310 per year plus superannuation.
