Female Disability Support Worker

We are currently looking for a Female Disability Support Worker to assist a 10-year-old girl in Moorooka. You will play a vital role in fostering a fun and safe environment, while engaging her in activities she enjoys, such as dancing, running, yoga, and reading.  The role involves social and community support, personal care, implementing therapies and assisting with hydrotherapy sessions. The ideal candidate will be creative, active and have a great sense of humour. We are looking for someone friendly and energetic who can bring joy to her daily routine. This role is well suited to a student studying in the allied health domain.

Shifts:

  • Wednesdays - 3pm – 6:30pm
  • Thursdays - 3pm – 6:30pm
  • Fridays – 7am – 9am (week 1)
  • Fridays – 7am – 10am (week 2)

Pay rate:

Option 1. $46.75 per hour  - under ABN

Option 2. Staffing Options Payroll / Home Care Level 2.2

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $37.08 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $41.53 per hour
  • Saturday - $51.92 per hour
  • Sunday - $66.75 per hour
  • Public Holidays - $81.59 per hour
  • Sleepover allowance $80.00 per shift

Essential Requirements:

  • Female
  • Open Driver’s license and own reliable vehicle with insurance
  • Live within reasonable travelling distance (local preferred)
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Flexibility to pick up additional hours when needed

Highly regarded:

  • Experience working with children
  • Experience implementing therapies
  • Experience with alternative communication systems
