Senior Information Officer

This is a new role to our Corporate Governance Unit.

About the role:

  • Provide a high quality Records and Information Management Services, including implementation and continuous improvement of records management policies, guidance and procedures
  • Assist with Council’s obligations under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act)
  • Provide records and information management support to Council.

We are seeking:

  • Ability to collaborate with staff and Council stakeholders
  • Understanding of Records Management within a corporate business environment
  • Experience using computer technology to access information including retrieval and data entry
  • Team player - ability to work within a team environment, share knowledge and provide support in times of increased workloads.

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

2. Experience managing records in an electronic record keeping system, including using computer technology to access relevant information, retrieval and data entry.

8. Certificate IV in Recordkeeping or equivalent.

b. Property and Rating
10. Demonstrated knowledge of the State Records Act 1998 and/or Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
