We have an exciting new opportunity available in 2025 for a Catering Manager to lead a Hospitality Team at one of Melbourne’s most prestigious colleges in Melbourne’s inner eastern suburbs.
Reporting to the Account Manager, you will use your leadership and strategic planning capabilities to drive continuous improvement across food quality and service standards and exceed client expectations.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of retail and event catering.
- Managing all the financial aspects of site including budgeting, cost control and reporting to ensure all budgetary & qualitative KPI's are achieved and upheld.
- Leading and Encouraging team members to develop their skills through performance planning and continuous training.
- Working closely with the Chef and other members of the catering team to ensure all legislative compliance and standards are met to minimise risk and maximise business efficiency and outcomes.
- Explore and embrace the challenge of developing new revenue opportunities.
- Continuous level of innovation across retail and function catering services.
In addition, you can demonstrate:
- Significant experience in a management role within the hospitality industry.
- Outstanding client service focus demonstrated by superior communication ability.
- Strong business and financial management skills.
- Proven experience in managing people and stress within a constantly changing and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work at different hours throughout the week, this role involves nights and occasional weekend work.
