Vital Health now has a full-time contract opportunity for a Podiatrist to join the Vital Health Dalby (VHDD) team to deliver services to the Dalby area and surrounds. Ideally, you will be based in Dalby, however Vital Health is open to candidates wishing to work on a drive-in/drive-out roster. This can be discussed with candidates at the interview stage. Initial contracts are for 12 months, with renewal available for the right candidates.

Reporting to the VHDD Clinical Coordinator, this role will see you delivering professional Podiatry clinical services that contribute to holistic outcomes for the client and/or community group you are working with. Working alongside a wide range of allied health professionals within the SWQ Team, you will provide a generalist scope of practice with an excellent opportunity to learn a range of skills across Chronic Disease Management, Wound Management, Musculoskeletal Biomechanics, Indigenous Health and Rural/Remote Service Delivery.

Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Provision of Podiatry toward client-centred goals, wellness and optimal health status;
  • Using clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice and best care practice to ensure clinical standards are met and maintained;
  • Undertaking Gait and Biomechanical analysis and assessment of postural alignment and evaluation through visual and manual assessments;
  • Delivery of Adult and Paediatric Podiatry to both 'in-community' and selected outreach locations; and
  • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, families, team members and other key stakeholders.

About You

To be considered for this position you must have a Bachelor of Podiatry and hold registration with AHPRA and Australian Podiatrists Association.

While you will be working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team of allied health professionals, and there are other Podiatrists within the company, you will be the only Podiatrist working at your chosen site. Because of this, you will need to be able to work autonomously and demonstrate the ability to seek support from your team where challenges arise.

Prior to commencement, you will need to hold a current blue card and submit to a Police Check. A current Driver's License is highly desirable, however, is not mandatory.
