PLANT OPERATOR (FLOATING)-PERMANENT FULL-TIME 38 HOURS PER WEEK

 

Forming part of the Engineering Services Department, the Plant Operator (Floating) will be required to undertake the operation of all Council plant for the construction and maintenance of roads within the shire, providing economic maintenance and construction of services to ensure the safe operation of the road network for the community.

The successful applicant must hold a HC Drivers licence, have a Certificate III in Civil Construction (Applicants, who do not hold the Certificate III qualification may be considered in some instances, however must commit to gaining the qualification upon commencement) and have relevant experience related to the safe operation and maintenance of various road construction and maintenance plant.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2017, Band 1 Level 3 Grade 6 Step 1 $998.95 to Step 3 $1,073.85 in Council’s Salary System, depending on qualifications & experience.
