Are you a self-motivated professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for driving performance and supporting business operations? We’re looking for a Business Support and Performance Coordinator to join our Corporate Services Directorate.

North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands and a bustling CBD.

 
The role 

The Business Support and Performance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in providing high-level support and data analysis to the Director and various service units within the Corporate Services Directorate. 

Key responsibilities include developing dashboards and reports, tracking KPIs and budgets, analysing data trends, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will also assist in coordinating process improvement projects, optimising business systems, and automating manual workflows. As the primary support to the Director, you’ll oversee diary management, correspondence, and facilitate engagement with senior stakeholders. 

A major aspect of this role is to support business operations across the directorate. This includes leading the implementation of corporate systems and processes and coordinating high-level reporting to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Council, and committees. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of business cases and provide general administrative assistance to service unit managers as required.

       

What we're looking for 

We are looking for a candidate with experience in data analysis or project coordination, ideally with a proven track record of working alongside senior management across a variety of organisational settings. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines. We’re also seeking someone with experience contributing to organisational change through effective collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.

Salary from $89,891 to $107,336 per annum +  $1,000 pa Transport allowance + 12% superannuation  

35 hours per week with access to flexi time
