ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will need tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or Civil Construction Management combined with extensive experience in the end-to-end delivery of large building or civil infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Services, our preferred candidate will be aligned with Council's core values, a proactive and adaptable team player, and an exceptional communicator with a strong work ethic in order to achieve results efficiently and safely.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary objective of this role is to provide professional project management for the design and construction of Council's infrastructure projects, ensuring that all deliverables fall within the agreed scope, timeline and budget, meeting the required technical and quality standards. 

Duties will involve managing project delivery from pre-design phase through to handover, including the operational oversight of construction, contract and contractor management, financial control, stakeholder engagement and comprehensive progress reporting.

This fixed term (2-year contract) position is classified as Band 3 Level 3 ($84,000 - $98,000 dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate) under Council's salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 35 hours per week.
