Your Role as a Library Officer

As a Library Officer focusing on Children and Youth Services, you will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative programs for our youngest library patrons. From Storytime sessions to school holiday events, you'll have the opportunity to spark a love for learning and literacy in children and youth.

Your Profile as a Candidate

If you have a Diploma in Library & Information Services or equivalent, along with experience working with young people in a library or educational setting, we want to hear from you! Your strong communication skills, passion for early literacy development, and ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for this role. A current Working with Children Check and a driver's licence are required.

  • Experience in early childhood education and public libraries is desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collection development practises and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to build connections with the community and deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Package: $65,460 - $69,281 gross p.a. (full time equivalent) plus 11% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent Part Time (23.5 hours per week, over 7 days).
